I am a married father of three and a graduate of the University of Georgia. I have taught Physical Education, strength conditioning, health, outdoor recreation and survival skills for over 16 years.

I went on my first camping trip before I was a year old and have been involved in outdoor activities ever since. I have extensive backpacking experience, but realize that there are many individuals that can not, for physical, social or scheduling reasons explore our wild areas on foot. With this in mind, I added a modified 4x4 to my equipment and enjoyed a new dimension of wilderness travel. Although the real rough stuff means tents and camp stoves, I have been able to set my short pull far enough into the forest areas to spend days without seeing another human.

I have been on 16 cross-country “road trips” with families, pets, singles, retirees and groups. I know I can help you have a successful “Great American Road Trip” too!
